Shadow The Hedgehog Is Perfectly Cast By Keanu Reeves In Incredible Footage

Whether you like it or not, the Sonic The Hedgehog cinematic world is on its way. Against all odds, the live-action film from 2020 was actually rather good! And the sequel, which focuses far more on the original video games, has been even more successful this year.

While no official confirmation has been made, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is unavoidable - and the post-credits scene for the Blue Blur's most recent adventure offers us a fairly decent idea of who will appear next.

I must emphasise that there are huge Sonic The Hedgehog 2 spoilers ahead. If you don't want to know, don't read any further!

Are you still here? Wonderful. The post-credits scene in Sonic The Hedgehog 2 clearly establishes Shadow The Hedgehog as the adversary for the upcoming instalment. Before cutting to black, we witness the fan-favorite antihero floating in some type of stasis tank guarded by GUN troops in the current film's final minutes.

For long-time Sonic fans, this raises some intriguing questions. Is the much-loved Sonic Adventure 2 going to be adapted for Sonic The Hedgehog 3? Will Shadow in the film use guns and ride a motorcycle like in the games? And, when the time comes, who will play the character?

 a man with a voice like a dark and stormy night, is one of the most favoured choices for Shadow. The #JohnWick star is already poised to play Batman in a forthcoming film, and we're confident he'd be a fantastic Shadow The Hedgehog.

Indeed, a fantastic fan-made clip uploaded by Twitter user @SonicpoX (and created by @ hxzzx) offers us a good picture of how wonderful Reeves would be as Sonic's adversary. Take a peek at the images below!

While there isn't official confirmation that #Reeves will play Shadow, the response has been so positive that we're sure SEGA and Paramount Pictures will pay attention. I would have scoffed at the concept of Reeves playing Shadow The Hedgehog a few years ago. But, because we now live in a world where Idris Elba plays Knuckles the Echidna, I suppose anything is possible with Sonic.
