One of my favorite books is The Power of Habit by Dr. Charles Duhigg. It’s a fascinating read about how our habits shape our lives. The book is heavy on statistics and data, but it also provides useful advice for anyone who wants to improve their life. One of the most important lessons Duhigg teaches is that it’s not enough to just want something different
So, This is my goal too. I want to change for the better in 60 days. I’ll show you how I plan to do this, and how you can change for the better too want to help you change for the better too:
Stop Doing What You've Been Doing
The first step to changing your life is to find out what to change. For example, you may want to lose weight but continue to eat the same amount of food. Or, maybe you want to become more productive but keep wasting your working hours on Facebook. In these cases, the first thing you have to do is stop doing what keeps you stuck. If you need to stop doing things that hold you back. That's not easy, and it won't happen overnight
Start Doing What You Want to Do
like many people, I didn’t start doing the things I wanted to do right away. I would think about how I’d like my life to be in the future but I didn’t take action. It took me a long time to realize that the best way to create the future I wanted was to start doing the things I wanted to do now. This first step felt small, but it was a big turning point
focus on one thing at a time
A large part of the focus is narrowing your focus to a particular goal when you want to. This can mean just focusing on one thing instead of a lot or a certain section of your project. It may also mean just in your current project rather than doing many at once. You can imagine the possibilities by keeping a list of your goals, then narrowing your focus to just one, so you can keep working on them and not be skewed by other projects. So focus on one thing at a time. It helps to divide things into bits. I've been able to focus on the one thing I'm working on. While in the past I may have deployed myself very poorly by trying to do a lot of things at once, I can only focus on one thing at a time now
Ask Yourself "Why" Before Every Action
Instead of doing a lot of things, I've started asking myself why I'm doing each one. This has helped me narrow my focus and I've been able to make better decisions at the moment. This has also helped me keep the right focus. I've been able to make better decisions by asking myself "why" before every action
Conclusion
The past few months have been some of the most difficult and rewarding months of my life. I have learned a lot about myself, my strengths and weaknesses, and the choices I make have had a profound impact on my life. I also discovered some things about myself that I didn't know existed. For example, I've learned ways to be more patient with myself and others, and ways to be more thoughtful and understanding when I'm frustrated or angry
